We have received a great suggestion from more than one of you regarding information about classes and what went on in each class year.  As many of you are aware, there was a 'housecleaning' of sorts at Arvin High School a few years back and many items SilverTips like you and I would regard as treasures, went out in the trash.  Some were retrieved by local alumni who were made aware of what was happening, the rest went to the Bena Landfill. 

This page and its related links in your individual class pages will be a major and ongoing effort that will need help from those of you who have kept your class yearbooks, pictures, and memories intact.  We want to be able to archive things like (1) class rosters, (2) class officers, (3) student body officers, (4) clubs, (5) cheerleaders, (6) songleaders, (7) teams, (8) staff, and (9) special events.  I hope you get the picture.  If we don't preserve these bits and pieces of our youth, no one else is going to.

So, beginning today, July 1, 2009, we are actively seeking this kind of information from the folks who have it, alumni of Arvin High School.  We ask that you send it to webmaster and well start getting it archived before it's too late.  We may have to archive it by both class year and on this general alumni archives page so that people who browse by don't have to search so hard to get the information.  But we'll get it done! 

In any event, your suggestion is that we work together to save this information, both for ourselves and for whatever posterity comes along behind us.  Your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren can come here and see your 'glory days'.
